As the turkey gets stuffed and the orphans in Orgrimmar get their overdue presents, Eye of the Tigger goes on holiday break. Thok is not out of the woods yet though, as we will return to scheduled raiding on January 5th. Until then, feel free to pug yourself miserable, have some glögg,  and enjoy these dark times with your family and loved ones.

This break also marks the end of another successful year for Eye of the Tigger.

2013 began with Mists of Pandaria and the return to scheduled raiding. With a renewed roster on a new server, things started slowly in T14. The toughest challenge of the tier (both time-wise and mentally) was no doubt Imperial Vizier Zor’lok, but we beat our own expectations and took her down as World #1936 – by far our best results yet. After Vizier, we allowed ourselves to think bigger, aim higher, and focus our goals.

2013 was the year of the Thunder King. As the saying goes, “it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish”, and by getting Megaera and Durumu down at the pace we did proved that we could finish well. Dark Animus was an amazing experience – 200 pulls on an encounter with zero tolerance for error and then taking it down as World #1352 and just #16 on the server felt incredible, and it was great to see how everyone really pulled their weight. Perhaps even more amazing was our Lei Shen kill - a grueling 8-week race against the time that brought many close to despair. But, in true Tigger style, we just barely pulled through, securing our first Cutting Edge achievement – and with it an invitation to the exclusive Top-100 2/week club. A membership that we have retained through all of T16.

2013 also gave us a beautiful new website, which couldn’t have been possible without the help of Knuckler, Corex and Tep.

I think we can be proud of what we’ve achieved as a guild in 2013, and I can’t wait to see what happens in 2014. It’s just a hobby, but it’s one we’ve all grown fond of, and if I may say so, one that we’re pretty fucking good at. I’m looking forward to playing with all of you in the New Year.
